Old Minelab Sovereign coil wire disintegration.

I bought some liquid electrical tape and applied it to my coil wiring. Anyone else had success with this?
I may have to buy a new Nel or cord coil for it.

Like you I have an 800 and a Sovereign. I believe they both have a place for my beach hunting. There is a discussion on another forum about coil wire deterioration. It seems to happen more to salt water hunters. Taking care of the cable with silicone or other preserving liquids is vital. Me? I would just buy a new coil.

Yeah, I'm just milking more life from it. It's a backup machine now.
