This is my first summer with the equinox 600. I've kept myself busy doing fields but decided to introduce myself to fresh water hunting.
There is a popular swimming beach about an hour from my house. I have been there two times. Well actually three but the second time didn't really count I twisted my knee from the get-go and went straight home. But both times I managed to hit the water and the beach I had it set on park 2 iron bias of 1 recovery speed of 2. I did dig my fair share of pull tabs small pieces of aluminum foil from juice bottles. Between the two times out totaling 6 hours I dug about $5 in change and two silver rings. Both are .925, and the first one was 2.1 grams and the second time in the water it was 2.9 grams, and looks to have some small diamond chips. Both rang up a 20-21 on the Nox. 2nd ring had a odd Maker's Mark in it. If anybody can identify it I would appreciate it.
I know I will not find rings all the time but it's fun trying. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I hit a swim beach the other day with my eldest son. You did far better than I did. I found 80 cents in three hours of wading water up to the middle of my chest. He found about six dollars in clad on the dry sand. It is always nice to find silver.

Glad to hear you were able to spend some time with your son. At least with all the clad you can buy ice cream or tacos on the way home. Keep swinging your silver rings are out there.
