I've heard a lot of good things about the Beach Hunter in the water and the wet sand... how will it do in the dry sand? I am thinking about at used BH for my dedicated water/beach machine and it sounds like it may even double on dry land and be a nice 2nd machine if I can get someone to come with me...

I believe it would be no problem at all to use it for dry land hunting. Good hunting.

The beachhunter300 may be a little heavy to hunt the dry. If it were me I would look for a good used beachhunter ID. They are out there and still with some warranty left. There is a two year warranty on them and they transfer over.

The only change between the beachhunter ID and the 300 was the coil. The ID Coil floated like a cork and you had to hold force on it to keep it under water, then they came out with the larger 12" coil that has what they call "Near zero Buoyancy".

If you are hunting the dry it would be lighter, cheaper, and make more sense as there is some great deals on them...
