1880 morgan dollar - thought you could tell from pic
- coin was probably XF when lost but is flaking more and more - black sand with mussels and clams really does a job - when ever I have encountered dense mollusk beds - coins come out like crap - along with anything silver - does not effect gold much. I think it is their excrement that does it. I have hit black sand spots with no sea life and coins come out slightly caked but don't desintigrate like they do with balck sand and abundant sea life
