Default WW2 ... ammo still on base!

Went hunting at lunch on a former Air Corps/Air Force Base ... have picked up a few odds and ends here but not much other than coins which could be dated to WW2. Barracks was built in 44 according to my info, and area was recently hit by Hurricane Michael .... but barracks shrugged that off. Went to the edge of the basketball court and pulled a surprise ... live ammo w WW2 head stamp! Plant was open only to end of war ...

SL St. Louis Ordnance Plant (November 1941 to June 1945) - St.Louis, Missouri.

I've had very good luck at those old AAF bases, especially militaria from that era. Keep hitting that place.
