Set up Craig's nickel program in my multi Kruzer and tried to specifically hunt for nickels but some sounds were too good to pass up.I even found a Buffalo nickel from the wrong era, 2005 but the old lock is the find of the day.A Delaware,Lackawanna & Western Rail Road lock . DSC04067.JPG

Thanks, I found some info on the D,L &WRR in context to the town that I found the lock in which is my hometown of Avoca."From 1882 to 1963 Avoca and Wallace were also served by the New York (Hoboken) to Buffalo Main Line of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad (and its Erie Lackawanna successor). This through route was severed in 1963 by order of the U. S. Interstate Commerce Commission also to increase highway usage."
