Ace 250 or Ace 300i

Hi guys I was about to purchase the Ace 250 when I saw the 300i model for only 40 dollars more. Not sure if it is worth the extra cost. It would be my first MD so any advise would be great.

The Ace250 doesn't have any numbers to id targets. Ace 300 does, its your choice.

Buy a new Cibola for about the same $$ ($360 I think), and get a Lifetime Warranty. Better detector to boot.

Are you buying new, or used?

I jumped on my Ace 250, but it was the only one at the pawn shop, and was only $35, so I couldn't complain. I do wish it had Target ID, but I've done plenty well without it.

Gauntlet has a point about the Tesoro Cibola. While there is no visual display, they are supposed to be very solid machines, good producers, and have the lifetime warranty. FWIW, I'm buying a used Tiger Shark for scuba hunting.

Well I ordered it. I ended up going with the Fisher F22. It was the same price as the ace 250 so I hope it was a good choice. Seemed like the ace and the fisher both had really good reviews.
