I see where some sellers offer the option of a lower rod and attach hardware.
Is this worth the extra $$? Does it make coil changes easier?

Thanks,

Sure does make it easier. Also not really expensive either. I have spare lower rods for all my Garrett coils and I have almost a dozen of them.

Depends on how much you wind up changing coils. Its a pretty safe bet that most dont change them out often and there are a lot who really never change coils at all. If you wind up rarely ever changing coils then you really wont benefit much at all by having the extra lower rod , unless you just want to spend the money.

Agree w/this completely. In my experience, it takes less than a minute to swap out a coil.

The big time saver on the ATP would be an easier connection between the coil wire and the control box housing.
