Hello all I've been wanting to set a Indiana group hunt for awhile so here it goes. The hunt will be October 27, 2012 in eastern porter county. I have two spots in mine that are 5 mins apart. One is a large park that dates back to the 30's. It was alot of different terrain to hunt from sand dunes, hills, old walking trails, woods galore and plenty of grass all around 60 acres. Next spot is a closed school with plenty of room to dig somewhere around 40 acres 2 playground and I have pulled some killer silvers out of there. Anyone interested came post below. Start time is 8:00a.m.

Ok I have a few friends gonna join us also so this should be fun. The reason I'm doing so late is so all the weeds and under growth at the park is dead. I believe the woods on the back of the park have never been detected before. Also I think there will be some great deep signals on the grass. I have only pulled 2 old coins out there but one was a 1901 IH and a 1931 d merc so the woods have great potential.The school witch has been hunted alot by locals has been good to me I have pulled 9 silvers and about 30 wheat this year.

A few days before the hunt please contact me for location info and so I know how many people to expect. There is hotels within 5 mins. Of park and Michigan City is only 20 mins. from the location for people coming from out of town. 219-871-9004 name is John. Next week I will be in Tennessee so wish me some luck of my out of state vacation/md hunt.

Looking forward to this hunt went on some recon at the park yesterday pulled a 1926 wheat penny. So there are still some finds there. I really think someone is gonna dig something nice. I'm leaving for Tennessee in the morning hope I dig something cool down there.
 
That area is less than 2 hours from us and I thought about it, but upon looking at the date, it's a THURSDAY and that's a work day for both of us, darn it! Next hunt plan for a weekend please. : )

Your wanting to set up a hunt for Saturday Oct 27th? Just getting started wanted to hunt with experienced people. I am interested just want to confirm the date and how far from VALPO. thanks.
