I got a chance to try out Electrolysis for the first time. I found this crusty iron ring thing and in another thread someone pointed out that it is probably a trunk handle of some sort. So I decided to try Electrolysis, which I've never done.

I was inspired by the following two videos, I was really impressed with the results, so I used this as the basis for my process.

About the only thing I didn't do was the steel-wool. I did clean with brushes prior to baking, but no steel-wool.

I'm happy with how it turned out especially considering the amount of crust that was on it. It took approximately 5 days in total.

Looks great, what about a sealer ? Have you sealed it yet or what will you do for that....

I did heat it up and coat with parafin / wax. That's the only way I've seen it done. I'm open to suggestions for better options, but that seems to work.

Very nice! I have just recently started to experiment as well. Amazing how well it works when done properly. Well done!
