Cape May NJ detecting

Does anyone out there know if Cape May NJ is MD friendly. We have just booked a house for a week in June and would like to take our toys along. If you have been there, its just common sense that you can't detect in the town. I'm wondering more about the beach tag beaches and the state park beach.    Any experiences??

There is a beach tag fee during bathing season in Cape May. Stay out of the State Park and off the dunes and you should have no problems.
Was just hunting the Cape May beaches this past Saturday 4/8. Found a bunch of clad and a fake ruby ring.

Thanks Jim. I've been to Cape May a couple of times, but never as a MD hobbyist. Got a house rented for a week this time, I'm thinking Garrett and I may see the sun rise a few times...
