Went to local lake beach this morning to try a new coil I got yesterday. Really wasn't expecting to find anything since not many people go there in the off season, but thought I would give it a shot anyways. I found a nickel, two dimes and about 7 or 8 pulltabs. Then in calf deep water I got a faint signal that turned out to be a really small(0.4g) 14K piece of jewelry. From the tarnish, one can tell that it had been down there awhile. I'm actually happy that it was so small because it shows me that I can find something that small with the large coil. If I can find something that small, it will be no problem finding something larger(of course only if it is there).

It's always nice to recover even the tiniest gold!!

Congrats!!

A few, of many, facts about gold that most people don't think about!!

It's never so small that it should be thrown away!

There is a finite amount available and most Hunters want to recover their share.

Sometimes it will be in the form of a nice ring that'll be the first target recovered on a hunt with many hours of hard, fruitless searching to follow!

It is found in amazing shapes, sizes and shades of golden color.

It can be recovered in most unusual places. (A septic tank comes to mind)

Returned golden jewels will be met with every extreme of human emotion!

CJ
