1800’s silver ring? Any experts out there?

My buddy found this in a band of gold rush era junk. Only problem is this is on a homestead. It has no markings, is pretty thick, light pitting, and has the old silver tarnish look. I know this is a long shot but any way of knowing if this isn’t 1900’s or newer? Sure would like it to be 1800’s or older. The ring only fits halfway down my pinky.

I found a ring just like that from a site that only had mid 19th century stuff in it so Id say its mid 19th though mine was bigger. Hard to be certain though as you say.
