So yesterday was demoralizing, but hey, today is a new day. Hit a different beach than normal, and even though I had the sand shark, I decided to stick to the dry sand for the majority of my trip.

Within 10 mins of hunting I found this little "infinity" ring, or figure 8 for the unfancy. Marked 925 and weighs 1.9 grams.

After that I found mostly tent stakes until I decided to delve into the water. And 5 mins into that landed me my other find.

The earring itself is garbage, but the clasp looks like gold plated (14k) silver (925).

What do I do with something like that? Take it apart and keep the clasp and throw away the earring?

Also, another question for you guys, what kind of magnet do I get for the bottom of my scoop so I can get these damn hair pins before they slip through my scoop? Where do you buy one?

Hey you are on some finds now! Nice work! You can get some really strong magnets for free out of an old computer...Or, I stopped at a little local computer sales/service store and simply asked for a few, and the kid gave me a pair for free...

Good redemption, Gold is coming!! WTG!!
I've gotten a few of those figure 8, lol, some junk a couple silver.
>>Just toss the earring into the pile and let the melting pot figure it out.
I use a round doughnut micro wave magnet, fits between the scoop bottom and wood handle bottom. It's about 2" round, half inch high. Strong enough to hold caps and pins, dig after dig, till I clean it of. A must have when I use the PI.
