Class ring beach gives up 1965 gold

Heard someone was leaving holes wide open near class ring beach so decided to head up there to take a look. Only found a few wide open holes high beach area. Seriously people FILL YOUR HOLES!!

Glad I made the trip though. Came up with a few nice finds!

The first metal detector I ever bought was about 31 years ago but I didn't stick with it. Oh how I wish I did!! About 4-5 years ago I took up the hobby again and quickly fell back in love with it! I had some great mentors along the way and read many books and many forum posts since then

Nice finds. I'm curious to know, if the 10k gold becomes more pure after decades of oxidation and all the metals mixed with the gold leaching out?
