It is official today Night Hawk retired

Today was my last day at Newport News Shipbuilding. After 35 years I retired today. So to celebrate I took off early and went to the beach today and what a beautiful day it turned out to be. 84 degrees and sunny with a nice wind blowing.I did not find any gold again today but I did find a nice 925 tiffany lock charm. Ran into Beach Hunter today and Walter but no other pirates were in the lane.Here is a spin down the lane.

CONGRATULATIONS!! I retired at the first of the year and began my new life as a metal detector/treasure hunter!

There is a saying that goes..."when your retire every night is Friday night and every day is Saturday"... :lol:

Congratulations! Thick and Thin?

Night Hawk: 35 years, now that is an accomplishment. It is refreshing to hear of those who choose a career, obviously like the choice, stay with it til retirement. Seems not too may have such dedication, goals and ambitions these days, congratulations. May you enjoy many, many years on the beach detecting, and enjoying more time with family and friends.

Now, is there a trend here in your photos. Detectors = thick. Bikini clad = thin ?? What's wrong here?? :shock:

Always great photos, what camera used?

Is that beach always so packed with people? I don't think I have ever seen more peeps on a beach except in Europe.

I use the pentax Optio W20 Camera
As for the thick detectors and the thin bikini clad women I will not touch that subject. LOL and yes the beach is usualy packed in the summer months but it will be empty come cool weather.
