1st thing. I put this in the wrong category did not mean for it in the beach section. Oops.
I started metal detecting last spring. I bought a at pro as a reward to myself. I always wanted one. But my life had spiralled out of control. I am now 34 yrs old. After an injury I became addicted to pain pills from there I ended up injecting heroin for five years. I lost EVERYTHING! I luckly got caught and went to prison. Best thing that could have happened. I wasted ten years of my life. When I got out I told myself I wouldn't waste any more time and find something I LOVE. I always had a knack for finding things and knew id be good at detecting. Anyways I put a ton of effort into detecting and after one full year. This is just a few of my favorites. Basically detecting has kept me out of trouble and keeps me on the straight and narrow. AnywAys enough about me. Heres what ive found from my first full year detecting and THANKS AGAIN
1. 1920s gold plated key to city of Boston. Found in a small broken glass case. Had it authenticated by museum. And as far as anyone can tell there is only one other key still known to exist. I talked to the conservator in the third picture. He saw the other one.
2.1881 Morgan
3.1787 Massachusetts copper
4. Early 1900s Ostby And Barton 14K ring. I had this ring restored due to the fact that Ostby died on the TITANIC! Making it collectable. I was offered $2300 for it but couldn't part with it. I found it at a civil war memorial park.
5. In one field I found a 1797 British half penny, 3 one cent pieces, a 1864 2 cent piece, and a 1852 3 cent piece! One of my favorite days. Also a Spanish American war pendant. Admiral Geo Dewey!
6. 10k POCKET WATCH and a 14K Gold filled fob with a real diamond
7. Vermont militia button and possible civil war sword plate buckle.
8. 1894s barber half dollar
9. 1912D barber dime in very good shape
10. 1804 draped bust half cent
11. Make up compact!
12. Old ring marked COIN silver. (1840-1860)
13. FAKED GOLD RINGS. one is 18k And would have been amazing but its gold filled. The other is 1920s marked 14K just brass however cleaned up it looks real.
14. 3 babies rings. Apparently baby rings were all the rage until the kids ate them. Cant imagine doing that now but anyways heres the 3 ive found. First is brass. Second and third are gold.
15. A squished 14K WHITE GOLD WEDDING BAND. My first gold so I had it opened up and wear it. I left it all dinged up and scratched. No one ever thinks it's gold.
So thats my favorites. I ended up with 48 rings (10 silver, 7 gold). Almost sixty silver coins And twenty large cents.
THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME IN THIS SITE.
