I saw in another post you live close to Chalmette. Man we need to get some old maps showi.ng where the British passed and camped before they got to Chalmette. In a way I do not want to look where the British left their dead. I want to say about 350 dead and about 500 missing. You got to believe the British left behind a lot of stuff when retreating back to their ships. I did asked the question about the British dead at the Battle of New Orleans re enactment. The park rangers did not know what happen to the British dead. Sounds like they were just left out in the fields and swamps.
