Had my best hunt ever!! Got permission to hunt my friend's yard right across the street from a park that's been around since the 1800's. I've been wanting to hunt it since I started metal detecting last year, sure enough it was virgin ground. Got a 1920 Merc, 6 wheaties mostly from the 40's but 1 from 1919, and finally cracked the 1800's with a 1896 V nickel, less than 2 inches down a few feet from the sidewalk. Sorry about the pics, was having trouble with my phone. HH

Nice digs! Took me awhile to break 1800's. Of the very few of my V nickels, only one is 1800's. congrats!
