I've had my DF for about a year now and love the way it works. Listen for the barely audible whispers and dig deep! It's usually very stable and I have no problems however there is an area at a local beach that gives me trouble. The detector gets very erratic and choppy and pretty much unusable. I run the gain and threshold about at the presets and the pulse timing just clicked on. I would really like to hunt this area as there are lots of older targets found outside of this "trouble area". Does anyone have any recommendations for adjusting the detector to help make it more stable??

Post this in the beach and water hunting section, that is where all the DF users are.

It could be a ton of rusty iron in the sand that is driving the PI nuts... or EMI.

I have a beach that has a big lifeguard station, and my PIs go crazy anywhere near it.

Mine does that in 2 places I hunt, 1 has some large power wires, the other? Aliens buried in the sand, or maybe a Treasure Ship...
