I can’t believe the day I’ve had! The first picture is from a park at a town I’ve never been to and I got 7 wheat pennies a 1943 Merc and an 1863 fatty IHP!!! What a place!! Then I headed back towards home and stopped off and got permission for a piece of ground that used to have a schoolhouse on it and boy that place was TRASHY! Every single signal was a one-way masked by iron but I lucked onto the 1930s Hyvis Motor Oil token first then after a long while I found a WWI “Son in Service” pin. I’ve never seen one like it it’s quite unique that it has symbols from all of the sections of the army depicted. Cleaning it turned out ok. Then after awhile I popped out a general service civil war button!! WOW what was that doing there?! Probably a veteran wearing his coat after the war. Then immediately I stumble upon a perfect Indian signal and dug an 1884 IHP! After another hour I was lucky enough to get a one way crappy hit and decided to dig it and it ended up being a semi key 1870 Shield Nickel!!! I’ve had an awesome and very fun day!

Then to top it off I found a 1941 wheat penny at that park and today is December 7, Pearl Harbor day. I admit I stood there and gave a moment of silence as I was the only one in that park and it was a beautiful day. I was blessed to be able to honor the fallen like that.

Nice shield nickel and all the rest. That's a whole season worth of highlights.

Please tell me what a perfect Indian Head Cent signal sounds like!! They're always a risk/reward surprise for me.

Not only all this, but it’s December! Today is the last up here in Wisconsin, hopefully for you Kansas continues the reprieve. Nice array of pieces there GS, shield nickels can be a tough one, especially one you can tell what it is!

Some mighty fine hunting there Garrett, Can truly feel your pride in your well earned success. Congrats on the Merc, the Indians, specially that fatty. The Shield which still eludes me along with all the rest. Hunts with finds like yours to me are always the most rewarding. Trapper

Congrats on a great hunt. A very nice array of finds. Silver, Ihp, wheats and relics, top it with a token. Wow. I have dug one of those Hi-Vis tokens, they are pretty cool. The CW general service button is high on my list of most wanted. Definitely hit that place again. Good Luck, Mark

Sweet finds!!!!! Got a nice variety of finds as well. Congrats schools haven't been treating me to well lately haha... Glad your getting some good digs!!!!
