Found my first pocketwatch today! This was on my bucket list. Found in a early 1900s park. It was about 6 inches down and I thought it was a crushed soda can at first. It is mostly complete too. Both hinges still work. Glass is gone and most of the face is gone. Not sure if case is silver I couldn't find any marks. Either way it is very cool. I have not found anything online to date this watch so of anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Also managed 2 wheats and a carwash token as well in a very pounded area of another park.

Very cool find. Hope you can figure out a little bit about it .
I dug one a few years ago and keep thinking about trying to restore it . Not sure if a jeweler would even take on a challenge like that or not.....Mayb eI'll just shine her up a little and stick it in a display case.....
Yours looks to be quite old.
Heres the link to the one I dug.

Using the words "Valere" and "A. Paris", I found some very lovely watches from the 1700"s on google. Had enamel art work on front cover. Seen one that had both words on the watch face. Couldn't find any dates or history, maybe someone else may have better luck. Nice find, HH Jerry

The watch is pretty cool, has some clear markings on it,should be somthing online about it?Ive seen a lot of watches found, but yours is pretty much all intact.congrats.

You have swung a detector so much, it blows my mind that you have never found a pocket watch. Get out to the cellar holes, they are everywhere. I think I found 3 or 4 completes last year and about 30 parts and pieces.
