While on my way to an area I scouted online last night I slammed on my brakes  ,

because I saw a major sidewalk tearup on a major street. Drove around the block, hunted

one side got nothing but wire, construction metal peices and encountered some nut on drugs

punching the air. I drove around the block to the other side and wham! A crusty merc, cannot

read the date yet but its a merc.....

Nothing but clad at the site i was driving to. ;)

Glad for back with some silver.. hopes there's more to come

Just think , if you had just kept diving that merc may have been lost onset the new concrete for another 50 years I bet .
Great save and slump buster .

Nice Going! I've never had the opportunity to detect a sidewalk tear out. I can't wait to give it a try.

I know how you feel, I scored two silver dimes yesterday after a silver drought of over 30 days!

Thanks everyone for all the responses.
If the site is still available I am going to hit it again next Sunday, early in the morning.

:neo:

Curbs are generally filled with new concrete very quickly, especially in densely populated areas. Hope its still open when you go back, good luck and happy hunting!
