I've only been detecting for about 3 months, and I've mainly been hunting an old farm site from the mid 1800's, and I've got a lot of old relics, like horse harness buckles, broken axe heads, old tools, etc.

But yesterday I decided to try a new spot, and I got lots of clad mostly from the 1970's, and then I wandered into the woods because it was starting rain, and walked between two large trees and I got a signal from under a large root and I decided to dig it.
I dug down about 6 inches under the root, and I couldn't believe what was there.

I use an AT Pro.

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to top this one.

Its a 10k gold ring from Dawson City, Yukon with gold nuggets on it.

It weighs 7.8 grams.

I'm still having trouble believing it myself.

Never know what you will find. This was silver. But never able to find this style poison/snuff ring anywhere. Jewelers never even seen one like it.

Hell yeah! Big fat gold! I have yet to find gold myself. If you can figure out any approximate date I sure would be interested to know.

Very Nice Gold! And take it from me, when you think you will never top it...it will happen, again, and again...

I can imagine some gold prospector bunkering down between those two trees.
Ring probably fell off while he slept.
Anyways- congrats
