Default need ideas for making a ss scoop

found this grill and want to either bend it or roll it to make a scoop. May have it bent. But couldn't i cut slots in the back edge and roll it around a 6" pipe somehow? I have a piece to make the back out of so just want to bridge the top after it's shaped for the handle. Would like a long handle for wading. Any idea's appreciated. it's about 14 1/2" by 11/4"

Provided you have the right tools, I'd make a flat bottom scoop out of it. I had a custom one made per my design and it worked out pretty good, especially for lakes with hard flat or clay bottoms.
