8-2-08 Finds

Well I hit a tot lot for about 35 minutes. NH has very clean lots or this area has already been hunted. Reguardless I have 1 1913 Wheatie, 1 1964 Rosies, and 1 "republica Portuguesa 1927" back says "1 Escudo". I think it is silver. How do we handle the points for forign silver? I took the best pics I could, if you need more I can resubmit. I am having trouble with over exposure even in Macro, but I will play with it until I get it right.

Today I hit the park for a 1/2 hour.. didnt do how I wanted. . . obviously:mad:.
But that is just more points for our team.(2 1/2, memorial, 9 pop tops) :roll: Found tons and tons of trash.

pennies {excluding memorial cents...} 10 points vets,15 GH

pre 1946 nickels 10 vet,15GH

clad dollar coins{sacs,susan Bs and Pres dollars etc etc} 1 point vets 2 points GH

clad will be based on fractions for vets 10pennies for a point,5 nickels for a point,5 dimes for a point and 4 quarters for a point
for GHs all clad is worth 1/4 of a point each

gold jewelry 15 points vet,20 GH
silver jewelry 10 vet,15 GH

junk jewerly or plated jewelry 5 points vet,10 GH

tokens 5 vets,5 GH regardless of rarity..{yes even chucky cheese}

jewelry will be defined as rings,necklaces,bracelets

if you find a charm it will only count if it is hall marked {.925,sterling,mexico,italy etc etc.....10k,14k,18k,24k}

pull tabs 1/4 of a point {4 for a full point} green horns only
 
thats the correct score system minus the charms...i removed them from the list to keep the peace..lots of controversy with em. next year we will be more organized with our scoring...i promise. gotta remember we are new to this whole detecting contest idea.
 
Finds 8/4/08 Morning

I got up early, 5.00am, to hit a local soccor field here in NH. A day of rain has nicely softened up the ground so I left my chisel at home. (By the way chisels are not allowed in carry-on luggage).
The points are as follows:
Silver Ring .925- 10pts
Wheat Penny (1920)-10points
5 q's- 1.25 points
9 d's-1.80 points
1 N's- .20
11P's-1.10 points
Total-24.35 points

8/5/08 AM Hunt

Hit a tot lot and field next to school. Original school built 1932. You wil see my "Pac-Man" penny. Kinda differant. The wheats are '47, '43,'36,'40. The nickel is '43 40% silver;), the rosie is 1964. The charm has no mark that I can see, but I am still cleaning it. Points as follows:

10q's- 2.5pts
12d's-2.4 pts
4n's-.8pts
18p's-1.8 pts

8/8/08 Means the Indians are Coming

Found small park with several very old trees on hill. Decided to focus around the roots. I have been rewarded. Total 6 indians and three wheats! I will go back tonight if I can. 3 Indians came out of 1 hole! All were at least 6" deep. I will post the clad seperatly, have not cleaned it yet, too happy! If you need individual shots I can accommadate, hands still shakin

6 Indians= 60 points
3 Wheats= 30 points

Clad count as follows:
Quarters-9 =2.25 pts
Dimes-18 = 3.60 pts
Nickels-5 = 1 pts
Pennies- 34 = 3.40 pts

Token-1 = 5pts

Total Pts = 15.25 pts

The token is from the USGA I think. It says" Official Member Presidents Club". Both side are identical. I see it as a token but will leave final dicision to the judges. I will deduct if you see fit.
