Video Editing/Playing Software

I'm looking for a free video editing software that is available for Windows. Specifically I want one that shows the audio track and the video track. I want to compare the lag between speaker/headset/bluetooth 4.1 and 4.2. I have a new 4/2 device and want to see if it is measurably faster. If I can track audio and video then I can see exactly when the beep happens and where the detector is relative to the target.
