Looks like we may be able to hunt the forest preserves with a permit and a friend gave me this shovel for free. We will be limited to a 5" wide digger. I cut the shovel down to 4 3/4 wide, added the saw edge, and sharpened all the other edges. I know the paint will come off it's just for the picture. Total cost $0. Rob

Looks like a dandee!! Should be able to cut thru the roots with that edge. Good luck & let us know how she works.

Yeah I just bought some old E-Tools down the Cape this weekend, I am going to cut them up and modify them. Sarge I gotta get a picture of yours so I can make my cuts similar to yours, because I like your rig you have set up.
