Spent the day with a co-worker (my boss, really) digging at a couple old farmhouses. Got an Indianhead at each one; funny how the color varies from place to place/soil to soil. On my last hole, when he said he had to leave, I ran into a "spill" of 14 wheat pennies (all 1910-1929), a buffalo nickel which appears to be first year (1913) and a 1909 barber dime.... gotta wonder how these all made it into that spot back in the 20's....
Pretty snazzy bridle rosette; cleaned up in some lemon juice for about 10 minutes.
….and a jar which I don't understand.
Oh yeah.....he got a silver Washington and an 1865 2-cent piece...… (lucky *****rd!!)
