I have a BH Tracker IV that I let friends use. Awhile ago on a stream hunt the coil started acting up. We let it dry out, was fine after that. The next time in the water it started acting up again after an hour or so. I'm thinking it has a small leak somewhere.

Whats best to seal it with?

If you have a Home Depot there, look for 3M 5200 Marine Adhesive. It's approved for under waterline use, and they may even have it in a 3 oz tube. The caulking gun size is close to $20, and left-overs would likely cure before you needed it again, so the 3 oz size is what you want.
