My son and I went to a county park last weekend and found plenty of clad but nothing old. have a look see  although I was the one running the md. he seemed to gather the coins faster than I could put down the ace and check the pile of dirt with the probe. oh well, at least he did almost all of the digging :D his best comment of the whole trip was " just another plain quarter" as he puts it in his pocket.

Nice collection Glenny, were they mostly shallow finds ?

Looks like a .303 case too ?

all about 4-6 inches, maybe one or two at about 8. The shell is for a .270.
The ground was pretty dry with alot of sand in it so digging wasn't to bad. at least not for my son.

I would call that a success story. Nice job on finding the coins. Great to have the kids go with ya too. 8)

thanks guys, my son wasn't to crasy about my idea of subtracting his finds from his weekly milk money allowance. Oh well I tried. :D
