Coin tumbler....

Got the motorized base from a color photo thingy. Looks like in order to make a genuine tumbler I'll need to caulk some fins inside a wide mouth (4") plastic jar to get the tumble effect. Anyone else make their own tumbler ? Tips ?
Better get caulkin' it'll need 12-24 hours to dry. Will take some low res ;) pics for a future post.

Very helpful. I found a plastic spaghetti sauce jar that works pretty well on my motor assembly. Will take 'er for a test run soon I hope. We've lot's of snow and am busy outdoors. I also notice that we have a couple electric motors lying around. ;)

If you use ground up peanut shells, it will clean the metal up without sanding the surface off, as with sand. It's used to clean glass bottles too. :-)
