OK, this may sound stupid and maybe it is.

But I found stuff doin stupid thangs like this.

Ignore this if you use ground trackin all tha
time.

If tha ground is so bad that I can not ground
balance properly, and tha noise just seems
to make it to where I can’t find nothin, you
know what I do?

I will get a low conductor, like waded foil or
something like that. Something that I want to
be able to detect. I’ll put it on a tha ground in
a place that just has tha normal background
noise. Then I’ll swing tha coil a few inches
above tha object until I can get best response
from tha placed object.

Sounds too Arkie simple, don’t it?

Well, that’s just tha way I am.

If it works, don’t fix it,

Hay FXDiz,

Maybe I should have explained that.

I don't want to pick up foil in a place like that. It would be too noisy.

But I do want to pick up wadded up foil. That's where most small gold
jewelry starts to respond.

I wouldn't go through tha trouble for just clad coins.

I like gold for tha thrill of finding it, and tha quick cash value pay-off.

Happy Huntin,
