Default My intro/Bio

I have been requested to introduce myself. So, here goes-
My name is Thom Parham, I am currently a history teacher in Northern Florida. I've been teaching 13 years, since I retired from AT&T. I have been involved in archaeology since I was 12 years old. I have graduate level field work in archaeology, and I was the Artifact Conservator for St Johns Archaeological Expeditions, Inc. from 1993 - 1995. The Maple Leaf was a Civil War transport steamship that was torpedoed in the St Johns River in 1864. It is the largest and most significant American Civil War Archaeological site, and I was very fortunate to have been selected for that position.
I am very knowledgeable of American Material Culture from 1700 - 1960, especially American Civil War military items. 3 museums have artifact displays that I provided them. I have also been a part of some archaeological digs in Germany, near Stuttgart, but I do not profess the same level of knowledge when it comes to European artifacts -still learning when it comes to European items.
