Default KT finds a nice mint error! Pic heavy

Well the bad news first....no silver halves on this weeks CRH, but then the good news...KT recovered 9 NIFC keepers, 1 87 Ken, and one of the best and most obvious die breaks He has ever seen!

Box 1 - 3 NIFCs
Box 2 - 2 NIFCs, 1 87 Ken
Box 3 - 8 NIFCs, 1 die break Ken
Box 4 - 10 NIFCs
Box 5 - 1 NIFC

Total: 24 NIFCs (9 keepers), 1 87 Ken, 1 1996 die break

KT was taken aback when He saw the die break. At first, He thought it might be a long scratch, but under magnification it is a linear raised line trending from edge to edge, from the R in Liberty, across the portrait's face, between we and trust and across the left portion of the 6 in 1996 to the bottom edge.
KT took several images, including a number of magnified ones at 15X. This raised line is high enough to catch your fingernail as one drags its across the coin from east to west. Both the Queen and Prince John quickly recognized it was not an indentation as with a scratch, but a raised line. KT spent a lot of time examining this line in detail and also wonders if it might be an embedded wire. 95% certain it is a die break. Enjoy the pics!

This mint strike error is the best and longest of its type KT has had the pleasure to see in person!

That is really cool, what would that make the value? Certainly more than $.50.....nice haul!

Thanks for all the comments....Yes, KT was shocked when He saw it. KT has seen much lesser die break errors on ebay selling for over $5 in pennies and nickels....but such a pronounced one as this should be valued by an error collector at $20 or perhaps a bit more if one could get a few folks to bid on it!
