Although this is a world-wide forum with members all over the world, most of us are Americans and proud of it. You only joined to bad mouth an excellent American company that has a reputation of providing extraordinary service.
Go to rippoff or the bbb and look at all the complaints against Garrett. There aint any.
I bet it has more to do with them not wanting to deal with importing/exporting to a commie country.

Did you find anything good before it broke? most of us would rather here about your finds or yourself than listen to you whine.

Something you might not know about Garrett ...

If you have a older Garrett detector and you send it to them for repair ... If they can not fix it they will offer whatever the detector cost new as a discount toward a New Garrett Detector.

What other company will do that?

Garrett has no warranty

Yes, they do have a warranty (the terms for making an International Warranty Claim with Garrett can be found here).

You just seem to be upset and spamming the forum because you didn’t read the terms of the warranty prior to purchase, and you aren’t willing to comply with the warranty terms now that you apparently have an issue with the detector. In one of your multiple rants about this in various other threads, you mentioned you are in Hong Kong, and apparently your China-based dealer refuses to send the detector back to Garrett for warranty. In my opinion, that means you have a bad dealer, and that dealer is the legitimate target for your wrath, not Garrett.

Still, if you read the information at the link to Garrett’s International Warranty Service provided above, you’ll see that you still have every right to a warranty, and Garrett will honor it. You just have to be personally willing to bypass your appallingly bad dealer:

From Garrett’s International Warranty Page:

If your local Garrett retailer is unable to correct the problem with your detector, you may contact Garrett's International Service Center in Germany. Please be aware that you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the detector to this service center and also for the return freight.

In other words, send the detector to the International Service Center yourself, with all of the information requested as laid out in detail on Garrett’s website, and your detector will be covered. Yes, you will have to pay the shipping costs each way, as per the terms of the warranty.

If you aren’t willing to accept those terms, that’s your decision and your problem. But to say that “Garrett has no warranty” is absolutely false and troll-like, and in the end, only makes you look foolish in front of a forum full of members who know the truth, regardless of brand loyalty. Direct your anger where it belongs - at your terrible dealer. And take a little personal responsibility - you may not like the terms of the warranty, but it’s hard to play “the wronged victim” just because you didn’t read them in advance. And it’s even worse to spam-post this community with your temper tantrum and misplaced retribution tactics.
