Got out for two hours before the weather rolls in tonight. High today was 63° and windy as all get out. Tonight, into tomorrow there's a freeze warning with showers and a high of 44°. Saturday we have a chance of snow! That's NW Pennsylvania for you. I really did detect my ex-barbers yard today and have permission to hunt it out. It was the old president of Allegheny College's house for years. It sits on two acres which is all backyard found a $1.96 in clad and three unknowns. All of them had a good crust on them with patina underneath. One is 1916 wheatie, the second is a 1941 wheatie. The third one turned out to be a hard to clean memorial cent. I believe I found a brass switch to an old stove, there's no markings on it. You can guesstimate the size from the penny's in the photo. Another unknown is possible an old watch or gear. I really can't tell due to the 1/4 inch of crust around the one half.
