Hello all,

Out with Daveg and a fellow MD club member........

And from the solemn gloom came forth the awakening. Dawn broke with majestic splendour. 'Twas the second day of Autumn and the early morning air was chilled. Alas, the Summer warmth was slowly ebbing, leaving behind an emerald carpet, bejewelled and glistening. The thorned hedgerow was alive with song and a lark's chorus filled my heart with joy. As the Heavens erupted from a fiery red, through orange to dazzling gold, the night time's remaining myriad of iridescent treasures vanished into memory. The endless azure was only occasionally punctuated by a cloud's freedom, drifting high and unhindered.

By previous accord, three attired and suitably equipped figures emerged from the hue accompanied by one as black as night but as silvery as the Moon, the Shadow. Life in the secluded valley was quiet now. Long gone are the sweated labours that brought people to this place. Mechanical evolution has usurped man, leaving mournful hillsides bereft of human activities. We walked between ancestral footsteps as we wandered through a time now lost to history - yet in want of discovery. The distant cries of salvation emanated from dark and dank...... From below came secrets of our past.

Many thanks,

b.
