cleaning black silver tips

just thought i would share my secret to cleaning black silver i find in the water. i use a small square of bare aluminum and bowl .heat up some water on the stove,place coins to be cleaned on top of aluminum square in flat bottomed bowl,pour enough hot water to cover coins and mix in two teaspoons of arm and hammer washing soda not baking soda it works better you can find it by laundry soap in store let sit for five minutes take out and rub with fingers most comes off in one try repeat for heavy tarnish
