In my quest to become a journeyman relic hunter I continue to run across tootsie toys, cap guns, and the like which I also enjoy finding. Might change my ambitions to "cap gun connoisseur" or maybe "Tootsie Toys R me".

But on this latest toy adventure I did run across this 5 inch explosive cannonball without a fuse that looks like it might have suffered a tractor plow strike. The 2nd Cannonball I've ever found, my first one was a 30 pound 8 inch explosive.

The miniature cap pistol appears to be from the 30's, parts still move and is German made. The similar cap pistol in the Etsy photo is the closest one I could find to the one I found.

Cap gun is what is left of a "German Luger".

Neat ball!!

Thanks, actually the cap gun is all there, similar to a Luger though:D

I own a Luger. Exact rear frame profile right down to the safety bar, round end on the bottom of the magazine. Not all there, missing trigger guard and barrel.

Yea, definitely a mini Luger. Nice find. Here’s what’s left of a full size one I’ve found. Missing the barrel. Made by Cresent Toy Co. in the 60's
