I dug this small "flower" last weekend and would like to know more about it. Decorative flowers are embossed on each pedal, and it's length is about the same as a penny's diameter. The back has a small "bar" attached at the bottom that forms a rough Y shape at the top. The Y end appears as if it may be broken.

The site it came from produced other finds that ranged in age between a flat button and a 1919 wheat penny. The flower appears to be relatively old and appears decorative, making me wonder if it was worn as some sort of jewelry.

Thanks, any ideas will be appreciated.

At a closer look, the bar appears that it may be threaded, allowing it to be extended to form a stem. (maybe...)
