The Courland Pocket (Latvia) - Metal Detecting Relic Hunting

Lett, I'm blown away at all of your finds. I would have a hard time keeping down a job if I lived there. I'd be out MDing all the time :)

Thanks for the comments! :tiphat:

Love your finds Lett! You ever find any good plane wrecks?

Yes, its hard to find places where planes are fallen, many planes are blown up and parts are in very big radius.
If the plane is fallen on the ground, then the engine can be in the ground for up to 6-8m.

Lett do you bring home those tank parts you find? I imagine there would be parts that are needed for restorations that are as rare as hens teeth.
Stay safe.

Hi, yeah, I do bring the tank details home, clean and fix them a bit (I do not do full restoration because these details really are rare and old) and then offer these parts to those who might be interested in buying them.

Simply amazing Lett, i get goosebumps thinking of the history you are finding...and can only imagine finding it. Thank you so much for sharing, this is by far my favorite thread on FMDF, and I get so excited when I see you have posted more!

I just got caught up again on your thread. Man you find some cool stuff! Be careful with them "hot tomatoes". Don't want you getting blown up. Thank for posting this great history
