This ball button to the left of the Eagle button, was found along side of the other Union relics from this hunt. I was pretty sure of the unit it belonged to, but after some research I am positive of which Unit wore it. It was the 76Th Pennsylvania "Keystone" Zouaves, the only Zouave unit to serve in the area in which the button was found. I had found others in the past near the spot I was detecting, and after some online research, and going through the book "Relics & Reminiscing" By Low Country digger and author Richard Walker, I am positive this button was from this Regiment.
Here is a link to their history, as well as their account of their participation in the Battle of Battery Wagner, in which the supported the 54Th Massachusetts.

Their uniforms were certainly were unique to say the least!
