Trident Viper

Hi, I am just beginning in the hobby of metal detecting. I purchased a Trident viper from Kellyco. I purchase the detector in February 2009 and it is already broken. It continually distorts and beebs. I called Kellyco and they can't help me because of the 90 day warranty. They said send them 119.00 dollars and they will look at it and maybe replace it. What a piece of junk and waste of money. I also will never buy from Kellyco again.

edited to add... we should always research before buying a detector... I spent weeks before pulling the switch...

Was the 90 day warranty for a new machine ?
Virtually everything we buy here, has a standard 12 month warranty (if not more), with 90 days sometimes on used machines.
