It does look real but there is a possibility that its a copper plated steel cent.

That guy has sold SIX 1944 steel cents on eBay! He's sold them for $500 to $600 each, so that's quite a deal! He also received a negative feedback for one, since they are definitely counterfeit.

Yep! Simple enough to do with a basic electrolysis setup. Piece of copper pipe connected to negative electrode and steel cent on the positive. Instant fake 1943 copper cent. :lol: Until they weigh it!
 
Some of those 1916d mercs would be fun to buy ten bury them :lol:

A little off subject, but I went gold detecting in Nevada with an old prospector who has sadly since passed. He said that whenever you make a latrine hole and do your business, make sure to deposit a quarter and fill your hole.

I wonder if he was joking or serious...:laughing:
