Default RS Discovery 1000

After my quick hunt today, meet my best friend for lunch. got to talking about life and just catching up. On the way home I remembered that I had a MD years ago. Got to looking in the shed and found this. I don't think I ever used it. Put in some batteries and it turned on just fine. I just downloaded and printed the manual to learn how to operate it. It probably is a blast from the past for some.

I've still got mine. Bought in Jan. 2001.

I can't remember getting it and pretty sure I've never used it.

Rebranded Bounty hunter 101. They actually work well but only 4-5” depth.

Set it to tone mode and adjust the dial to where a nickel sounds like a good low tone. Purchase a 4” coil and take it out and have some fun.
I own 2 of them with multiple coil sizes. It is my go to fun machine.

A good example that detectors last a long time and still work just fine.

Thanks for the info on the settings. Been busy at work today and haven't been able to read the manual yet.
