Winter has arrived, the ground is frozen and it too sloppy outside to justify a metal detecting foray of any length.
So, it's back to genealogy and, even extreme couponing is looking interesting, to satisfy my hungry search gene.
I've attached a link to a superb site which has a great collage of WWI photographs which are really stimulate thoughts and provoke sleeping emotions.
So, why post this on a metal detecting site?
Did the photo of the grenade or old ordnance grab your attention?
As with the Curse of Oak Island and Searching for Giants programs, metal detecting is all about things which history has misplaced, and, without a doubt, lots of things were misplaced during this war...and are still there for the astute metal detector hobbyist to find.
