Default Where to send scrap gold?

I saw some old posts that said ARA but wanted to see an updated answer.
If there is an updated answer and I missed it I apologize in advance.
Thanks

I sent two pieces, as a test, to Midwest Refineries LLC and had good results.

I believe Metaladdict has had good experiences there as well.

ScubaDetector had a bad experience with them with a chain I seem to recollect.

I also believe ARA quit dealing with less than a pound or something like that. There is a thread on that.

You should look around where you live.
Unless of course you live in the boonies!
Avoid the pawn shops.

ARA has been bought out and is now owned by an idiot who has great disdain for us lowly metal detectorists.
Look elsewhere.
I have a local guy that pays about 82%...not 98% but way less hassle.

I just sell locally, but it's been awhile since the nice yellow stuff has been in my scoop...
