From Floridabill
I hope this is going to be the start of something really nice. Stop in and check it out this Thursday.
This is something that we are trying to get started. It does not mention any metal detecting forums or any sponsors. It is just going to be all of us, the treasure hunter’s period. Not selling anything or promoting anything. This week will be someone from Garrett Metal Detectors but that will change every week. We are trying to make a place where everyone from all the different forums could meet and share ideas. Your not going to want to miss this it will be fun and interesting.
: This Thursday night everyone is invited to an audio chat room to visit With Steve Moore of Garrett Metal Detectors. Steve will be showing pictures of a recent hunt with Charles Garrett and the Garrett Team at the San Jacinto Texas battlefield where Sam Houston defeated Santa Anna and his army right after the fall of the Alamo.
You will be able to type or talk to Steve (if you have a microphone hooked to your soundcard)
Steve Moore is head of sales for Garrett Metal Detectors, and puts together the searcher newsletter for Garrett, and is also a member of the famed "Garrett Team" that hunts all over the world. Come join us and listen to Steve talk about a recent hunt with Charles Garrett at the famous San Jacinto battlefields. In less than 20 minutes 630 Mexicans were killed and 730 taken prisoner. Texas lost only 9 killed or mortally wounded; thirty were less seriously wounded. Among the latter was General Houston, whose ankle was shattered. It sealed the fate of three republics. Mexico would never regain the lost territory, in spite of sporadic incursions during the 1840s. The United States would go on to acquire not only the Republic of Texas in 1845 but Mexican lands to the west after the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican War in 1848. So join us Thursday night in the chartroom at 6pm pacific, 8 pm central, and 9pm eastern time.
Click the link below and download a small plug-in for the chartroom. After you have it installed login and only put in a username and leave the password box blank. You do not need to signup to anything to attend.
Steve Moore is also the author of 10 books
Steve will be giving away an autographed copy of his latest book which comes out next week, after the show Thursday.
We also will be giving away a microphone headset as well.
