Hey guys and gals.
If you're not a twitter, I highly recommend it. Anyone, anywhere can send a tweet message of your finds live from on the spot to all your Metal detecting Buddies. You can use your computer, cell phone or blackberry.
For Instance, Let's say I'm hunting that 150 year old school and out pops the infamous 1914D or 1909 SVDB penny, I'm gonna shout it from the mountain tops to all my Metal Detecting Friends and you'll know within 10 seconds of my find.
Check it out at http://www.twitter.com
My Twitter name is LaCoinDog.

Look forward to twittering with you all.

Also Using Twitter

I have been a long time twitter user for several of by businesses so when I jumped back into the metal detecting hobby (this past weekend) it just seemed natural to add a Twitter ID for detecting.

You can follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/MyAce250

I have also set up my phone to send messages to Twitter as well as psitures. My goal is to be able to offer LIVE updates from my detecting locations along with pictures. Heck, I can even send a picture of say a playground and allow others give suggestions of different hunting location within the park.

Might be a lot of fun.

Please feel free to follow me on Twitter. http://twitter.com/MyAce250

I get Twitter, I really do. But being a member of Facebook, their "Share" thing is exactly like twitter, and has been. So I can't see myself doing both. Are Tweets like RSS feeds that I can subscribe to w/o being a member?

EDIT: I answered my own question. I have now added your guys Tweets to my sidebar on my blog, so they'll come up as you post... neato!

You guys doing this anymore, I've noticed nothing along the ways of "tweets" from anyone MD related for nearly a month now?

I don't use twitter, but no, you can do it from a PC as well... but I mean, its hard to give up to date info if you wait a few hours to get back to your PC.

I did sign up to Facebook, but never used it. I've never even looked at Twitter.

I spend far too long on the computer as it is.
